Presidents Report:
Baseball spring training is in full swing in Florida with 15 teams playing here, and with severe weather up north we have seen increase in flights and loads into the airlines and airports that our members service. Also with many cruise lines operating out of Tampa that has added to the air travel.
At UAL negotiations are getting closer to an end with DL 141 saying they are hoping to bring something to that membership by mid year. DL 141 will also be holding a Committee Conference at end of March and beginning of April in Houston. Our Local will be well represented at this Conference.
This month there is a local political Special Election for the residents of District 14, which covers most of the Hillsboro area. We have a IBEW Union person, Brian Nathan, a Navy Veteran and long time Union Member fighting for Working People running for this position. For those of you that live in this district, please support this Union man.
This month we will spring the clocks ahead 1 hour.
Until next month,
STAY STRONG, STAY SAFE, STAY UNION
