FLORIDA STATE COUNCIL OF MACHINISTS

The FSCM meet in conference in Orlando on Friday August 28 – 30. Our Local had in attendance both VP Alex Aponte and Kenny Champagne. I attend as VP area 1 of FSCM. Also in attendance were three members from LL 2508, in Orlando and two members from LL 2915, at McDill. We had many speakers and funds were raised to support MNPL to help elect those politicians that support workers and their families.

A couple that raise puppies for Guide Dogs that live in Sarasota also made a presentation. At SWA preparations are being made to start negotiations.

Nominations will be taken at the regular union meeting site for DL 142 Officers election to be held in December.
