Joey Pascarella    

Joey Pascarella, has been an IAM member since 1974, and a member of Local 2319, since 1985. Joe was elected President of Local Lodge 2319, in 1994, and has held that position since. Now retired he formally worked for Northwest Airlines as a Fleet Service worker. Joey has also served on Safety Committees, as a Shop Steward, and as the Grievance Chairman for the NWA Fleet Service employees. He has been elected as a delegate to both District and Grand Lodge Conventions, and served on the IAM/NWA Negotiating Committees.

              Alex Aponte 

Alex began his aviation career in 2005 as a CSA and Ramp Agent with AirTran, and was involved in the campaign to unionize the workers into the IAM. In 2011, he became a Shop Steward after the Southwest / AirTrans merger. Alex was appointed as Conductor/Sentinel for Local 2319 in 2015. He has also served as a delegate to IAM GL Convention, as also Florida State Council of Machinists. Alex has also completed Leadership I, II, and Advanced Leadership training at the IAMs W3 center.

Denise Schoonmaker RECORDING SECRETARY 

Denise Schoonmaker

Denise started her career in the airline industry with Continental Airlines in 1993, she enjoyed working in the Special Marketing Department until March of 1999. In April 1999 switched to the Flight Recovery Center (Queue Desk) and in June, of 2006, took on more responsibility as one of 10 FRC Coordinators/Lead.As the merger from Continental to United in 2010, peeked enthusiasm in IAM, she became a shop steward for the at Home Res Remote group in TPA in 2014. As of December, 2016, she elected as the Recording Secretary for our LL2319, and continued to work in her Shop Steward position until she retired in June 2020. 27 years of service.
I look forward to learning more about the IAM and helping my brothers and sisters.
