FSCM Legislative Conference

The FSCM held their Legislative Conference the week of March 30 through April 4. Our LL was represented by myself and VP Aponte. We had many speakers on Monday and long time member of IAM and FSCM, Lou Brogna, was given his 60 year Member Award by the GL Secretary Treasurer, Ms. Dora Cervantes, and Chief of Staff Vinnie Addeo.

On the next three days we hit the Capital Building, meeting with Florida Congressional Representatives and attending Committee Hearings on different bills that will affect all Floridians. I wish I could tell you much was done for the benefit of Labor and Floridians but that was not the case. They discussed the insurance problems in Florida, but did not come up with any answers.

During the conference much money was raised for MNPL to help those that support Working People. Please let you Representatives know what working people in Florida need.
